Flag Football Leagues Forming for Fall 2018
LEGACY SPORTS FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUES
The Legacy Sports Camp Jr. and Pro flag football leagues kick off with a Pre season combine on August 19th, 2018.
The Junior League is for Grades 3-5.
** The Jr league will have Wednesday night practices starting August 29th
The Pro League is for Grades 6-8.
The season will run from Sept. 9 – October 14 and there will be one game per week and the teams will practice prior to each weeks game.
Playoffs start on October 21 and 28th.
The flag football fun will take place at the Sports Zone in Melrose Park. The cost is $160, which includes team jersey.
Players will be drafted and placed on teams!!

Youth Summer Camps Starting in June
YOUTH SPORTS SUMMER 2018 CAMPS
Legacy Sports Camp will be offering a variety of youth summer sports camps for kids in K-8 grades. The fun starts soon in June!
Kicking off the Summer of 2018 is the first coding and sports camp of the year. The Coding and Robotics Sports camps start June 4th – 8th. These camps are for children in grades K-3 and 3-7.
The youth basketball camp kicks off June 5th and will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7:30 PM. The camp costs $125 for all 8 days, or $75 for any 4 days.
The Youth summer camps at St Luke and Oak Park start on June 11. These camps are for kids in grades 1-3 and 4-6.

Coding Sports Camp Spotlight: June 18-22nd (Roblox Coding & Sports)
In this week’s Summer Camp spotlight we check out the Roblox Coding and Sports Camp that takes place the week of June 18-22nd.
This camp is specifically designed for students who are currently in grades 3-7. This camp is great for new and returning campers and this summer we have completely new LEGO Robotics builds and Sphero SPRK+ Adventures.
Legacy Sports and Code Play Learn are partnering to create a week long, full day camp that will engage your child’s body and mind.

Campers will spend half their day exploring the fundamentals of coding and building with ROBLOX. ROBLOX is a safe interactive gaming platform that allows campers to imagine, create, and code in an immersive 3d gaming world. Our tool provides campers with everything they need to create their own game from scratch. We use a drag-and-drop blocks coding library to create our games. Best of all, ROBLOX is a free to download.

Campers will spend the other half of the day engaged in a variety of athletic activities. We offer dozens of multi-sports madness games like Treasure Island, Hand Hockey, Illinois Jones, Countdown Dodgeball, Battleship, Capture the Flag and soccer. These activities ensure that campers learn how to communicate with each other and work as a team to accomplish their goals.
Our camps will run each day from 8:30am-4:00pm. We ask that each camper bring their own lunch. Please remember to exclude any foods that contain any nuts.

Celebrate Your Birthday with a Legacy Sports Camp Party
Celebrate your special day with Legacy Sports Camp! Birthdays are primarily held at the River Forest Community Center (RFCC) at 8200 Madison Street in River Forest, IL. Ages 5+ for up to 20 participants.
Legacy staff will supervise and lead the group in games. Food is not provided but food/dessert can be served in dining area.
Activities: Basketball, soccer, dodgeball, floor hockey, or any of our many multi-sports madness games. Not sure? Just ask!
2-Hour Party Fee: $240

In this week’s Summer Camp spotlight we check out the week of June 11-15th in our Youth Coding & Sports Camp in Oak Park.
This camp is specifically designed for students who are currently in Kindergarten, through 3rd grade.
Legacy Sports and Code Play Learn are partnering to create a week long, full day camp that will engage your child’s body and mind. Campers will spend one half of the day at our STEM Sampler Camp. Each camper will build their understanding of STEM as they code, construct and play.

Meet Your Coach: Dan Lindell
This Week we salute our longest running staff member and baseball trainer, Dan Lindell. Dan has been teaching baseball with Legacy since 2010, back when we ran the training out of Stella's Batting Cages in Lyons. Coding Sports Camp Spotlight: August 13th -17th – Chess & Rube Goldberg Camps
In this week’s Summer Camp spotlight we check out the week of August 13th – 17th in our Youth Coding & Sports Camp in Oak Park.
Grades 1-5 will be doing Sports & Chess Camp with US Candidate Master John Crissman, while grades 3-7th will be doing Multi-Sports Madness & Rube Goldberg Contraption Camp.
Current Grades 1-5th: August 13th-17th: Chess & Sports Camp:
Develop your child's mental clarity, fortitude, stability and overall health with Code Play Learn and Legacy Sports new Chess and Sports camp.
For one half of the day, campers will learn how to evolve their chess game. Whether your child is an absolute beginner or a strong tournament player, we have the right curriculum and teaching methods to keep him or her engaged, learning, and having fun; including an in-house chess tournament where all students will get a medal, and the first place winner receives a trophy!
Through chess, children will develop analytical, logical, and decision-making skills. Research has shown that test scores improved by 17.3% for students regularly engaged in chess classes, compared with only 4.6% for children participating in other forms of enriched activities. Our camp will be taught by U.S. Candidate Master John Crissman. John has taught chess professionally for over seven years and in over 30 different schools. He loves working with students of all ages and skill levels.
Campers will spend the other half of the day engaged in a variety of athletic activities, featuring dozens of Multi-Sport Madness games like Treasure Island, Hand Hockey, Illinois Jones, Countdown Dodgeball, Battleship, Capture the Flag and soccer. Campers will spend half the day exploring how to build a Rube Goldberg Contraption with VEX robotics equipment. Campers, working in pairs, will construct and code their Rube Goldberg Contraption to achieve a simple task in a complicated manner. Their contraption will use motors and sensors to achieve the goal of moving a ball through 5 stages of action.
Campers will spend the other half of the day engaged in a variety of athletic activities, featuring dozens of Multi-Sport Madness games like Treasure Island, Hand Hockey, Illinois Jones, Countdown Dodgeball, Battleship, Capture the Flag and soccer. These activities ensure that campers learn how to communicate with each other and work as a team to accomplish their goals.

Chicago Youth Coding Sports Summer Camps
REGISTRATION OPEN - CAMPS START JUNE 4, 2018
Legacy Sports Camp and Code Play Learn have partnered to offer full days of coding and multi-sport sports madness that will engage your child’s body and mind.

Half of the day will be devoted to coding which includes Minecraft Modding, Lego and Vex Robotics, App Creation, 3D Printing and more.
The other half of the day, kids are engaged in a variety of athletic activities featuring dozens of Multi-Sport Madness games like Treasure Island, Hand Hockey, Countdown Dodgeball, Battleship, Capture the Flag and soccer.
Our camps will run each day from 8:30am-4:00pm. We ask that each camper bring their own lunch. Please remember to exclude any foods that contain any nuts.
Legacy Sports activities will take place at The Tennis and Fitness Centre located at 301 West Lake Street, and Code Play Learn's activities will take place at 132 N. Ridgeland Avenue. Campers will be walked between locations by staff from Legacy Sports. Space is limited to the first 16 campers.

Chicago Flag Football Leagues for Grades 3-8th
CHICAGO YOUTH FLAG FOOTBALL PROGRAM
Legacy Flag Football 2018 is now open for registration for kids in grades 3-5 and 6-8th.
Flag Football Leagues kick off April 15th at the Sports Zone in Melrose Park, Illinois.
